Description

16. The following Parks Division requirements are requested to be adhered to : g) A tree and hedgerow protection plan shall be prepared and submitted by a qualified Arboriculturist for approval of the Planning Authority at least 6 weeks prior to construction commencement. The survey is to be include specific measures to ensure no damage or removal of the crowns of the existing trees on the eastern boundary of the site (located outside of the site boundary) with reference to the recommendations of the Biodiversity Chapter of the EIAR and any trees which are found to be potential bat roosts. All hedges and trees shown to be retained adjacent to the site, shall be adequately protected during the period of construction as per BS 5837, such measures to include a protection fence beyond the branch spread, with no construction work or storage carried out within the protective barrier. (The tree protection measures shall have regard to the Guidelines for Open space Development and Taking in Charge, copies of which are available from the Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services Division).
