6. The applicant shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Section: a. The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (ii) Detailed schedules of any repair and reinstatement works required to the boundary walls to the rear site. A method statement for any repair works and interface details associated with construction of the new mews extension and the proposed pool shall be provided, demonstrating all works will be carried out in accordance with best conservation practice. (iv) Methodology for the repair of the external elevations of the mews including repointing of the stonework in a lime-based mortar and demonstrating works will be carried out in line with best conservation practice. b. The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority: (i) Following provision of a scaffold to the elevations, the Conservation Officer shall be given the opportunity to inspect same to assess the condition of the brickwork. (ii) A detailed schedule/marked up drawing of repairs following inspection at close quarters is to be provided, together with a detailed methodology for all works including confirmation of the pointing finish. (iii) Site samples/exemplars for the removal of pointing, cleaning, patch repairs, re-facing and repointing including the proposed pointing finish for both the main house and the mews are to be agreed on site with the Conservation Officer prior to these works commencing. (iv) The applicant shall submit details of five recent examples of specialist brick re-pointing works carried out by the proposed contractor on protected structures of similar architectural significance in Dublin and associated references to ensure that the contractor has the requisite expertise for these works.
