Description
3. The developer shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Officer of Dublin City Council; a) The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (i) Revised elevations, sections and floor plans at 1:50 retaining the legibility of the historic form and plan of the rear return through the retention of more substantial nibs at either side of openings, and downstands above openings. The proposed interventions to the exterior and interior of the rear return are to be revised to ensure the historic form and integrity of the return are retained. The proposed revised drawings are to incorporate the proposed extension ensuring the extension is sensitive to the amenity and historic character of the Protected Structure. (ii) Samples of proposed external finishes to the proposed extension. (iii) The proposed internal insulation shall be omitted from the walls of historic rooms that retain their original window joinery, decorative plasterwork, fireplaces and historic flat plaster. The application of a breathable insulation such as calcium silicate board would be considered to the lower ground floor to aid in addressing damp issues. Confirmation of the omission of the proposed insulation are to be provided. (iv) Revised front elevation drawing infilling the later door opening to reinstate the architectural composition of the front elevation. (v) Confirmation that all rainwater goods will be high quality cast-iron. (vi) 1:20 section and elevation drawings demonstrating the relationship of the proposed ensuite and wardrobe to the front room at first floor level insertions to the historic ceiling/cornice. The partitions do not rise up to the ceiling but stop at as great a distance below this as possible. (vii) Revised site layout plan is to be submitted omitting the proposed vehicular gates and carparking.
