6. The following requirements of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage shall be complied with: a) Prior to commencement of development on site a bat survey shall be carried out by a suitably qualified ecologist during the active season for bats. b) If bat species are identified at the site, information relating to mitigation measures to be employed shall be submitted by the developer to the Department. Reason: As the proposal has the potential to disturb the roosting habitat of a species listed under Annex IV of the EU Habitats Directive.
