6. Prior to commencement of development the Developer shall submit the following information for the written agreement of the Planning Authority as follows: a) Marked up drawings indicating all areas where repair of cement render is proposed, and where repointing is proposed to stonework and brickwork. Samples to be provided of all proposed repair works. b) Confirmation of the proposed extent of the cleaning of stone and brick facades. c) Colour-coded key to the existing roof plan clearly indicating all existing materials and a separate colour-coded roof plan drawing to illustrate all existing and proposed guard rails/access ways/duckboard. d) Confirm the amount of replacement slates required and ensure that all replacement materials are sourced and installed in accordance with best conservation practice to match the original historic coverings. The Applicant shall confirm the source of all existing natural slate on the roof surfaces (expected to be Bangor Blues). e) Detailed 1:20 drawings of all proposed new guardrails, endeavouring to achieve a consistent design to minimise the visual impact on the Protected Structure. f) Drawings for each of the historic rooflights following final inspection identifying all existing defects including cracked glass/straight glass instead of curved glass, defective frames and glazing bars and illustration of all proposed repairs to and replacement of glazing bars/structure/glazing noting the principle to retain as much as possible of the existing historic fabric in accordance with best conservation practice. Details of temporary coverings to be provided where rooflights are to be removed to specialist workshops for execution of repairs and other works. g) Drawing that illustrates all existing rainwater goods (identifying materials) and indicate where they are missing/damaged/to be repaired/replaced or increased in size. h) Schedule of chimneys to be raked out and repointed. i) Submit schedule sheets for ground floor windows. j) Drawings that include external and internal sill positions on the 1:20 plan drawings and submit 1:20 typical section through a fixed pane and AOV. 1:10 plan, section and elevation details to be provided of the proposed decorative masonry mullions. k) The post boxes and name plates shall be omitted and the Applicant shall make an alternative proposal that would avoid any unnecessary visual clutter within the setting of this important landmark building. l) Lighter colour to be specified to the proposed louvred plant enclosures to Area A and Area B to minimise the visual impact of these enclosures. m) Historic paint analysis and final decorative scheme for all interiors shall be submitted including methodology for removal of previously applied inappropriate paint coverings to historic stonework. n) Detailed drawings of the proposed new servery in G12 including materiality and light fittings. o) 1:20 external elevation and section of the new door GFD-49 and reveals/linings and 1:10 details of the panel mouldings and all ironmongery. p) 1:20 section and 1:10 details of the proposed wall mounted fire curtain and housing, clearly indicating in plan, section and elevation the slot to be cut in the cornice for installation of the fire rated housing in Henry Grattan Hall. q) Final details and drawings to the following stairs: ST12 (external), ST23 (external), ST26 (Internal), ST27 (external), ST28 (External), ST31 (internal). r) Chasing of walls to be kept to a minimum and where required shall be agreed on a room-by-room basis with the input of the Conservation Expert to minimise the loss of historic fabric. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the subject Protected Structure and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
