6. Prior to the commencement of development the Applicant shall submit a “Climate Action Energy Statement” and will be required to investigate local heat sources and networks, and, to demonstrate that the proposed development will be ‘District Heating Enabled’ in order to facilitate a connection to Dublin District Heating System (DDHS). The developer shall ensure that the design and installation of heating systems within the development can facilitate integration with a district heating system for the Docklands area. The developer is required to liaise with the Docklands office of Dublin City Council prior to commencement of development to agree details of the heating system to be installed. The applicant shall also submit further details of the proposed heating design for written agreement with the Dublin District Heating System (DDHS) Project Team. Drawings to be submitted showing the proposed plant rooms/HIU areas/DHHS connection into the secondary heating system. Reason: To ensure compliance with Objective SI14 of the North Lotts and Grand Canal Dock SDZ and the vision for Docklands outlined in Section 3.1 to achieve sustainable urban regeneration
