4. The Applicant shall submit the following information for the written agreement of the Planning Authority (Conservation Office) in advance of the respective work packages commencing: d. Doors: Ref. 2022-35-PA-107 - Revised part-plan drawing(s) to indicate proposed architraves prior to the fabrication of new doors (and architraves). Details of handles to the Crittal-style glazed doors GF/D03 in advance of fabrication. Re-examine whether any of the proposed doors to be removed can be reused elsewhere within the house in new opes, and if not provide salvage strategy for doors to be removed. e. Windows: ensure that historic glass is protected and retained in the proposed repair works. g. New extension: Updated drawings to incorporate ‘accent’ rooflights, corrected height (if cross-referenced to the existing string course on the principal elevation of the Protected Structure and demonstrate sufficient articulation within the envelope to achieve a high quality interior and exterior, including refined glazing arrangement, that will complement and not detract from the setting of the Protected Structure; Revised drawings 2022-35-PA-106_1 and 2022-35-PA-109 that correct the height of string course on west elevation drawing (coordinated with the principal south elevation) It is important that the historic reception rooms at ground floor level do not become redundant with the addition of the new living/kitchen/dining extension to the rear of the Protected Structure. h. External Works Replacement tiles where required to existing tiled entrance platforms shall match existing. New replacement rainwater goods and soil vent pipes shall be high-quality cast iron. i. External hard landscaping: Revised drawing 2022-25-PA-100 correcting anomalies regarding gravel/granite setts finishes, and clarify the reference to a proposed bull nose step to front entrance. l. External railings Revised drawing 2022-35-PA-108 or gate fabrication drawing to reflect in principle the rhythm and design of the historic railings in front of the adjacent historic terrace that indicates the sizes (girth and height) of horizontal and vertical undulating members, and decorative scrolled features below and above the top horizontal rail. The Applicant is requested to include gate entry/control systems. The width of the vehicular gate to be 3500mm or to the closest dimension that will accommodate the new gate design based on the principle of the sizes and centres/modules of the adjacent historic railings.
