8. The applicant shall comply with the following Conservation Section requirements: The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (i) A methodology for forming the two openings in the side walls beneath the front entrance steps including any structural interventions required. This is to be accompanied by 1:20 elevations of each side wall beneath the front entrance steps showing the new opes. (ii) 1:20 drawing of the proposed door to the basement. This should be a high quality timber door, informed by surviving basement doors to the adjacent houses if possible. (iii) The junction between the brickwork of the new extension and the roof of the 2005 extension is to be revised, omitting the overlap between the new extension and the existing roof. The roof pitch shall be retained in its entirety and the elevation of the extension detailed to facilitate this. Revised 1:50 elevations are to be provided demonstrating this. A 1:10 detail of this junction detailing the marrying of the two extensions and any required flashing details is also to be provided. (iv) It is not clear how rainwater run-off from the rear pitch of the historic roof will be managed. A roof plan showing rainwater management between the different elements of the building is to be provided. Locations of outlets and downpipes as required are also to be provided. (v) Details of rainwater management from the glass box projection to the kitchen. (vi) The solid elements of the proposed glass box projection shall be kept as slender as possible to reduce the visual impact on the rear of the Protected Structure. Revised drawings demonstrating the proposed glass box are to be provided. Reason: In order to protect the special character of the Protected Structures.
