5. The following requirements of the Planning Authority’s Conservation Section shall be fully complied with in the proposed development: a) The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (i) Colour and finish of the proposed gates and piers to the boundary with the RDS. (ii) A marked up condition drawing of the boundary wall detailing the extent and nature of repairs required. This is to be accompanied by a detailed methodology for the formation of the openings and all repair works including raking out and repointing. Samples for any repointing of the wall are to be agreed with the Conservation Officer in advance of works. (ii) All existing original features, in the vicinity of the works shall be protected during the course of the refurbishment works. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure at St Mary’s Church and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
