6. The following requirements of the Council’s Conservation Department shall be complied with: f) Samples of mortar mixes and site exemplars (raking out and repointing) shall be provided for inspection by and for written approval of the Conservation Officer in advance of the raking and repointing works. The use of NHL3.5, as proposed in the method statement submitted with the application, is not appropriate. Only the use of NHL2 for historic brickwork will be permitted. The applicant shall submit details of five recent examples of specialist brick re-pointing works, carried out by the proposed contractor on protected structures of similar architectural significance in Dublin and associated references to ensure that the contractor has the requisite expertise for these works.
