Description
SAW: In accordance with Part 9 of S.I. No. 600/2001, Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), proposed to construct a new single storey ESB Substation with switch room and covered bicycle parking area with changing facilities at no. 30 Earlsfort Terrace/Department of Foreign Affairs Laneway, Dublin 2. The proposed development will consist of : (a) the construction of a new single storey ESB substation with switch room and covered bicycle parking area with changing facilities, external lighting an all associated site works. The total floor area of the development is c.98m2. (b) demolition of an existing non-historic, single storey bicycle shed. The National Concert Hall, Real Tennis Court and Iveagh House (Department of Foreign Affairs) and Iveagh Gardens, including stone garden folly are designated Protected Structures (Reference RPS 2425, 2426 AND 7791). The development has been screened for both Appropriate Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment. The Screening Assessment process concluded that the proposed development does not require an Appropriate Assessment or the preparation of a Natural Impact Assessment. It is considered that the proposed development is sub-threshold for the purposes of an EIA and is therefore no mandatory requirement to prepare an EIAR. Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of the notice, apply to An Bord Pleanala for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment. The above mentioned screenings may be inspected on line within 3 working days of the publication of the newspaper notice at the following website: https://www.gov.ie/en/consultions Drawings and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection by appointment only and within two working days notice, between 10.00am and 12.30pm and between 2.30pm and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) for a period of 6 weeks beginning on the date of publication of this notice at : The Office of Public Works, Head Office, Jonathan Swift Street, Trim, Co.
