The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority, prior to the commencement of development: b) It is not clear from the submitted drawings if the chimneystack is to be retained to the rear return. The removal of the chimneystack will have a significant adverse impact on the historic form of the rear elevation. The chimneystack is to be retained as part of the works c) The proposed use of calcium silicate board to the Protected Structure is to be limited to the ground floor return. d) Samples of the proposed new slate, which should match the historic in terms of colour, size, thickness, texture and quality, are to be agreed with the Conservation Officer prior to works commencing. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure at 59 Grosvenor Square and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
