Description

The tree is a Silver Birch, (Betula pendula) in the rear garden of the address 1 Dove Yard Tickhill. The tree is approximately 40 years old and is now starting to become an issue with it dropping seed catkins onto a water feature within close proximity to the tree which in 2 years has caused the replacement of the water feature pump twice through blocking the filter system. The tree is also getting taller and is approximately as follows; 2 metres away from the neighbouring joint wall, 3 metres from the water feature and garden structure surrounding the water feature and 2.5 metres away from the neighbours garage and 5 meters away from the 1 Dove Yard property itself. Mrs Pennington has over 8 mature trees around her garden, Limes, Sorbus and sycamores and these are maintained when the need arises through dead wood removal as required. Mrs Pennington also refused the neighbour to have work completed on a front garden tree as this was not for safety reasons which the council also agreed with our recommendation to refuse consent to have works carried out. Though the tree in question is in good health there has been times in strong winds the tree has blown towards the neighbours garage as the top growth is predominately towards their garage and this concerns Mrs Pennington. We would like consent to remove the tree totally due to the factors listed above. Mrs Pennington has no room for a replacement due to the amount of mature trees within her grounds but would be willing to have a tree replacement within the local area at her cost if permission is granted.
