Description

The proposal is for a state of the art community recycling collection facility in the Castlederg area. Currently there is no recycling facilities within the area and therefore a rural need. The facility is for the collection of materials such as wood, green waste, metals, paint, soils & stones, plastic, electrical items etc. The facility will have a separate circulation road for visitor and working area. Sheds will house bottle and clothes banks and paint storage. Once the collection containers and banks are full, the materials will be transported off site. The temporary storage of materials will be subject to license requirements and containers will be regularly emptied hence reducing risk of odours and spillages. A staff supervision and welfare building is also provided. No landfilling or material treatment will take place at the facility.
