Description

Current description states a maximum output of 250kw however this involves de-rating the turbine as it comes standard from Vestas as 500kw. The sound report provided for the application at the time of approval actually states that they have used the noise output from a standard 500kw Vestas V39 not de-rated. See page 10 and 11 of approved report submitted with original application. What we are proposing is the exact same turbine with no visual changes whatsoever, but rather than being modified to run at a maximum output of 250kw it would run as a manufacturers standard turbine capable of producing up to 500kw per hour as was assessed in the consultants noise report for the original application. As what is now being proposed is exactly what is described and accepted we feel the change in description as follows would be non-material. Erection of wind turbine (maximum 500kw output) with maximum tip height of 60m, maximum hub height 40.4m and maximum rotor diameter of 39m and all ancillary works.
