Description

The proposed Paediatric Department will be relocated within the refurbished ground and first floors of the existing Treatment Wing within Altnagelvin Hospital. The proposals include for two new double storey extension links (with rooftop plant to each) which provide additional accommodation and link the refurbished Treatment Wing to the north/ south Hospital Street. The ground floor will accommodate the Outpatients' Department and comprises 12 no. Consult/ Exam Rooms, Day Case facilities and an Acute Paediatric Assessment Unit, together with Staff facilities and ancillary accommodation, including Treatment, Utility Rooms, a Sensory Room and a dedicated Adolescent Area. The first floor will accommodate the Inpatients' Department and comprises 25 no. single bedrooms with dedicated en-suites, and an additional 3 bedroom ward.
