Application Details
Description

A15 - Beech Tree. Cut down to 4m in height and retaining stem for habitat. The Beech has a number of areas of connecting stem decay at approximately 1m height with evident unidentified fungal fruiting bodies within the wounds. Whilst this decay is likely confined to existing dysfunctional wood, and there is pronounced adaptive growth, there was evidently moderately significant hollowing around the stem with two openings approximately south and east and potential further opening to the north-west.There is a number of relatively high value targets of property and occupants exist immediately below. The Park have had Bowland Tree consultancy come and view the tree and they have advised to do the work as stated above.
