Description

Common pear - marked A1 on the sketch plan. Reduce the crown by 1m so that the current 8m high x 9m spread becomes 7m high x 7m spread. Also thin the crown by 20%.No pruning has been undertaken on this tree for at least 7 years. Its spread has encroached on the adjacent mountain ash trees (marked B5 and B6 on the sketch plan) and is damaging their development. This can be clearly seen in photo 1 taken September 2023 with the trees in full foliage. The tree requires thinning to address crossing branches, to open the tree to sunlight and to encourage better quality fruiting.Mountain ash - marked A2 on the sketch plan. Remove as the tree has died - the tree is marked on photo 1 and can be seen to have no foliage in September 2023. No work is proposed to trees marked B1 (Maidenhair tree) and B2-B8 (mountain ash)
