Description

In 2022 the rear skittle alley of The Greyhound pub was burnt in a fire. The skittle alley due to this fire has collapsed and partially had to be removed for health and safety. What is left is the function room to which the skittle alley ajoined is in safe condition and will be retained. Rather than rebuild the skittle alley which was never really used and not part of the pub's offer, it is proposed that where the open space in the wall is where the skittle alley adjoined, be infilled with a new wall with complaint insulation and weather proofing and be rendered/painted externally to match the adjacent walls. The roof will be checked for structural intergrity and made good/weathertight. The building is not listed and was added as an extension to the pub in the 1980s.
