Description

The proposal seeks to utilise an existing rear structure consisting of only concrete block walls, the original roof having long since collapsed and been cleared away. Our proposals are to extend beyond the existing rear kitchen wall (the west elevation) into the footprint of space occupied by the existing rear structure. On a new single level we intend to create a space for a new kitchen and dining area and a snug beyond, all within the confines of the existing footprint of the original structure. The new extension following the existing structure will feature a green roof. This is designed to assist with the extension fitting into its environment. A green roof that will blend into its surroundings and provide additional biodiversity benefits. The extension will be insulated to a very high level and feature additional solar pv and underfloor heating.
