Description

Pre-application advice for the slate hung principal elevation is timber framed and cantilevers slightly out from the ground floor wall. The floors inside deflect significantly, and there is bulging around the windows. It is proposed to install ply sheathing to the external face of the timber frame before battening, in order to provide structural rigidity. Introduction of stainless-steel strapping may also be required.
