Description

National Grid are proposing to upgrade an existing overhead line from 2 wire construction to 3 wire to enable our customers to upgrade their supply to 3 phase. The works will involve replacing some existing poles, stays and fittings between pole 43G161 and 34GW7. The new poles will be built to current line specification and compliant with ESQCR 2002 regs as well as National Grids Standards Techniques. The line shall be capable of supporting the additional 3rd wire necessary for the supply upgrade. The route is approximately 575 mtrs. At 43GW7 A a lazy leg will be added to the existing pole so that the transformer pole can be upgraded to accomodate a 200kva 3 phase transformer.
