Application Details
Description
Application for a Lawful Development Certificate for proposed replacement of a redundant basketball facility with a concrete stand alone half pipeNo new access roads or pathways are required. The proposal is to decommission a single basketball hoop and concrete court - this is NOT a full size basketball court - simply an informal area to play basketball on, and to replace it with a stand alone concrete half pipe - sometimes referred to as a mini ramp with a very small extension leading to a small seating area containing two low cylindrical concrete seats. The upright faces of the mini ramp will have earth bunds leading up to them which will be set to grass. The main body of the half pipe will be constructed from free form spray concrete which will present a uniform off white colour once cured. There will be two galvanised steel copings set into the ramp between the platform and the transitions and the side transitions will have galvanised steel edging strips to protect the concrete from chipping during use. Drainage will be through natural run off and percolation as the existing pad currently does There will also be a site safety sign. The playing field area already has litter bins so no new ones are required.
