The Yew Tree stands behind our house 12A Main Street, Middleton. LE168YU. We think the tree is subject to a TPO but are not 100% sure.The tree however is situated on the property belonging to 16 Main Street, Middleton. The owner of 16 Main Street is fully aware of the application and has been fully appraised of the situation.The tree was picked up in our survey 17 years ago where it was stated that the tree is advised not to exceed the height of our roof 12A. With the tree having never been trimmed it well exceeds this. That said I believe the owner had some ivy removed from it as there is evidence of this on the tree.As you approach the driveway belonging to number 16 Main Street the tree sits to the right hand side.The proposal is to have the tree trimmed in size though there are concerns offer the trees health as the trunk looks diseased.
