Application Details
Description
We are applying to remove several trees which are too high for the small area they occupy. Some are on a steep slope very close to neighbouring properties, and have caused complaints about blocking light. A similar tree in the same space, came down in storms with the top part landing in next door's garden. Trees will be removed to ground level by a qualified tree surgeon.Replacement growth is already underway, with the intention being to limit height and allow wild flowers to grow, enhancing the habitat to create an 'orchard' feel.Privacy for all will be maintained as there are well established hedges, which will be untouched. We have spoke to Cottingham Parish Council who have no objections. There are no tree preservation orders however the garden is in a conservation area (Church St, Cottingham, LE168XG).
