Description

Lime Tree Ref T1 - Additional root pruning and root barrier installation. A separate application has been submitted for pruning of the known tree roots causing the tennis court surface to heave, this application relates to possible further root intrusion prevention measures. Intention is to further excavate along the edge of the tennis courts inside the tennis court enclosure to a depth of 900mm from ground level to expose any other roots that may not currently be causing damage to the tennis court surface but may do in the future. Excavate by hand for a distance of 7m either side of the trunk through the court surface to expose roots, seek guidance from LA tree officer if any other roots found can be pruned, and in addition determine if a root barrier could be installed prior to relaying the court surface.
