Description

The YEW Tree (T39) requires CROWN THINNING to change the shape of the tree from a very wide cube to a CONE SHAPE. The current shape of the tree means that the branches themselves are very wide over the drive of number 12 and also over the pavement. It needs to be THINNED by as much as is possible but may also require a small CROWN LIFT to allow clearance of 4 metres for vans and cars which run the risk of damaging the lower branches at the moment. It may also need a slight CROWN REDUCTION as it is currently growing into the electricity cables over head and this needs to be prevented from getting worse so a reduction in some of the height but actually mainly a reduction in the width of the tree (CROWN THINNING) so as to change the shape so it is narrower more like a CONE SHAPE than its current cube shape which is too wide at the bottom and the top.
