Description

The refurbishment of Macclesfield Chapel including removal of previous Office accommodation alterations and reinstatement back to Chapel use with ancillary facilities. Level access formed into and out of the building in the form of ramps, sloping paths and steps. Formation of external landing, steps and platform lift to allow coffins to be transferred back to vehicles following service. Area to be screened from view of cemetery and provide a lay-by for funeral car parking. Internally the Chapel will be reinstated back to its original use with office mezzanine floor removed, the welfare accommodation reformed to provide Accessible Toilet and small Kitchen area and two small rooms formed to provide Changing and Music Rooms.
