Description
Tree 18,19,20, fell and remove, do sonic tomography on Tree 30: - T18 is a dead, ivy covered elm located 2m from the adjacent road which, it fell in to the road, could cause an accident. The tree should be removed. - T19 is located next to T18 and is also an elm with a strong lean towards the road. It is not dead but it seems prudent to remove this poor specimen at the same time as removing T18. - T20 is a mature copper beech near the hotel entrance. The crown is in poor condition, with extensive areas of dieback and deadwood. Due to its large size and proximity to the road its removal is recommended. - The mature lime T30 is a large tree close to the spa building and access road. It has brackets of the fungal decay Ganoderma australe at is base which is likely to have degraded the quality of the load-bearing timber at the base of the trunk. Further assessment of the impact of the decay is recommended to evaluate its significance.
