Woodland area 1 - trees start adjacent to clients driveway/ entrance; 2 oaks/holly/hawthorn/yew/holly/yew/oak/yew/ scots pine / scots pine and then gradually widens into a Woodland area consisting of predominantly scots pine, yew, alder, some oak, holly and laurel. I propose to carry out remedial/safety works to the trees on the lane including removal of deadwood that could become dangerous over the highway and public space, clean out of crossing branches where sensible and not structural and reduction of canopies back from the highway. Reduction of a maximum of 2 meters and crown lift to 5 meters only where trees could be damaged by passing vehicles. Trees in the woodland; thin out some saplings where needed to encourage room for mature trees and support diversity in age range of tree stock. Removal any unstable deadwood as area to be open to the public in the future. Client understands how t protect woodland from compaction by adding footpaths for the public to stick to. Reduce height on some yew and holly to allow light to the woodland floor for flowersand fauna. Planting of hawthorn and hazel and preservation of bramble to support woodland eco systems. Deadwood pile to be established. Only some saplings and over crowded, drawn, young trees to be removed where sensible. Thin out of no more than 5%; monolithise for habitat. Woodland area 2 / driveway Mainly consisting of conifers over grown laurel and yew x3, oak, early mature beech, oak, mature oak, yew, 4 x scots pine and a sycamore. Understory species to be reduced to allow in light, . I propose to carry out remedial/safety works to the trees on the driveway including removal of deadwood that could become dangerous over the highway and public space, clean out of crossing branches where sensible and not structural and reduction of canopies back from the highway and driveeay. Reduction of a maximum of 2 meters and crown lift to 5 meters only where trees could be damaged by passing vehicles. Tree line A- conifers and beech reduced back in to mixed species hedgerow. Oak and young beech to be formatively pruned to improve form, reduced by a maximum of 2 meters. Crowns to be cleaned out of dangerous deadwood and crossing branches where structurally practical. Tree line B - 7 oaks . I propose to carry out remedial/safety works to the trees removal of deadwood that could become dangerous over the tenis courts and lawns, clean out of crossing branches where sensible and not structural.
