Application Details
Description
In summary, full felling, stump grind and approved disposal of the 1 tree as identified on attached files/photos. Works will be undertaken by an approved arboriculture contractor. Further to a site visit with our arboriculture contractor they have stated that the tree is currently in a poor condition and at some point in its history has lost one of its main branches so is currently un-balanced. This is in addition to the more immanent problem where the tree is causing the adjacent retaining wall to fail risking possible collapse onto the Public Highway. Liaisons are ongoing with St Pauls Church and any proposed works will be coordinated with them for both access and agreement on timelines for undertaking. At the time of this application, there are no plans to plant a replacement tree due to the limited clear space (ie burials) available within the Church grounds. Available space near to the boundary (retaining) walls are not appropriate for the planting of trees due to the detrimental affect that will be caused to the retaining structures
