Description

T1 x Oak - longitudinal area of necrotic bark dysfunctional timber on codominant stem/lateral at 15-20m north-east, strong reaction wood formation to 18m, limited reaction wood with more extensive decay above 18m, minimal internal canopy, within falling distance of the stable, reduce the sail area of the codom stem by removing up to 5m in length to small pruning points from approximately half of the secondary branches, to encourage the development of new growth at the pruning point and permit a future reduction of the retained branches. The proposed work does not follow BS3998 but will not impact on the amenity value of the group and will reduce the risk of limb shedding during storm force winds.
