Description

Installation of manual hydraulic mechanism to underside of modern lift-bridge deck. To comprise a ram pit excavated to the earth bank behind the brick and stone abutment of the canal, plus an operating pedestal installed to the opposite bank. Likewise within the earth bank. Cabling to be surface mounted (held in place beneath Rigiducts) and laid across the canal bed to connect the two for operation. Plus, bank and towpath works in association to provide a safe mooring place to operate the lifting mechanism
