Description

T4 Horse Chestnut - Evidence of branches within the mid-upper canopy failing. Tree bifurcates at ground level with a compressed union. Reduce and re-shape mid crown by a maximum of 2.5m over garden and road, ensuring to maintain a natural appearance and symmetrical canopy. T5 Horse Chestnut - Mature tree in good physiological condition. The tree bifurcates at 1m with a heavily compressed union at ground level with the stem extending north/west over the garden at an acute angle. Although there is probably no immediate risk of the tree failing, the compression on the union will most likely need addressing in the future. Reduce N/W bound stem by up to 3m to bring back in line with the natural shape of the tree and alleviate stress on the union - subject to TPO 20/2023
