RETROSPECTIVE emergency works to the exterior following a loss of kerosene heating oil. External excavation of contaminated soils. Removal and like for like replacement of outer stone work in three bays in line with structural engineers advice. 0.4m X 0.4m, 0.6m x 0.6m, 0.8m x 0.4m. TO BE APPROVED proposed internal works to include: Removal of utility room flooring 1.75m x 2.50m, remove sub-floor slab material in the affected corner (where the boiler is currently present) over an approximate 1.5 x 1.5m area. Remove kerosene impacted breeze blocks in bays as per structural engineers advice. Four bays two blocks high. Any fill material/insulation in the cavity to be removed and replaced as necessary. Install an impermeable gas membrane over the entire floor area lapping up to the finished floor level.Following installation of the gas membrane reinstate sub floor as above (structural engineer to confirm design and methodology): - Pour floor slab to conform to current building regs. - If feasible, install floor insulation to conform to current building regs. - Install floor joists and boarding to match previous. - Floor tiles to be matched to originals.
