Description

To amend previous repairs undertaken to the existing leadwork, ridge tiles and top two rows of slates [any missing slates will be replaced to match existing]. Other existing flat roofs are to be recoated. Minor splicing in of window frames or doors, or repairing internal plaster cornices. Existing sash windows are to receive splice repairs and replacement sashes only. Replacement sashes [installed on a like for like basis] will be necessary on several windows – we aim to remove the existing historic glass and reuse in the new sashes. Several of the existing vents in the windows are to be removed and replaced with suitably procured plain glass. PVC replacement cills to be replaced with timber cills to match other existing cills. Decoration to windows will consist of primer, undercoat and two coats of Dulux Weathershield. Existing cast iron gutters are to be cleaned and dressed for longevity. Repairs to the existing handrail are to be undertaken using imperial rather than metric sized materials.
