The development also comprises upgrades to the existing site entrance and access tracks of Gruig Wind Farm. During construction and commissioning there would be a number of temporary works including a construction compound with car parking; temporary parts of crane hardstandings and welfare facilities

The application site is located approximately 4.4 kilometres north east of Cloughmills and approximately 12 kilometres south west of Cushendall in the townlands of Carnbuck, Magheraboy and Moneyneagh, east of Corkey Village, County Antrim. The proposed site entrance is located to the north eastern boundary of the site at the existing site entrance to Gruig Wind Farm, located along Altnahinch Road, Ballymoney, BT44 9PE. The northern boundary of the site is approximately 1.7 kilometres from the Reservoir Road with the southern site boundary approximately 1.2 kilometres from the Omerbane Road.
