Description

Just under 200m of 0.6m earth bund will run along the southern edge of the cycle path, with a parallel grassed channel drainage system intercepting the flow down the slope and forcing flow downstream, feeding into a headwall and small culvert section, that connects to an existing short outfall section. An additional bund 17m long continues along the western side of the roadway arch to direct flow into the ditch/ swale alongside the footpath, discharging water on an estimated 1 in 8 slope into the ordinary watercourse by the path. The discharge point is downstream of the existing 750mm system. The design includes a Green Webwall Geocell for the bund. The swale is typically 2m wide at the crest, 0.75m along the base. The culvert is 28.5m long, 0.6m diameter. The headwall is 1.3m high, 3.5m channel width
