Description

Prune Norway Maple (111 Colchester Avenue) using arial cutting techniques, in accordance with BS3998 guidelines.- East and West lower canopy to be lifted over adjacent front gardens to a height of 5 metres to rebalance the crown height and improve light levels in the front gardens beneath the tree. No pruning cut is to exceed 100mm (10cm) in diameter.- Mid canopy - Shorten exposed over-extended &end weighted lateral branching in the N, E, S, & W quadrants by 3-4 metres, to suitable live growth points to achieve a radial spread of around 5-6 metres to re-balance elliptical crown, decrease axial branch wind loading and abate failure hazard to squirrel damaged branching. No cut is to exceed 100mm (10cm) in diameter.- Lower, Mid, Upper crown - Remove squirrel damage related major deadwood from throughout the crown to suitable live growth points in order to prevent branch loss, on to the adjacent front gardens and highway.
