T9 - To pollard Horse Chestnut tree to 10 metres in height due to extensive dieback in upper crown which has manifested itself within the last 3 weeks. The tree has practically no fruit and leaf compared to last year where it was excessive with fruit. The tree is showing signs of epicormic growth on the lower part of the tree indicating it is a disease attacking the upper crown of the tree, not the base as no fungal fruiting bodies or bleeding canker have been found. As the tree is situated in the middle of the public house carpark, there is a definate risk of failue if the trees vitality decrease much further as evidence already of branches failing.Permission granted on Tuesday 9th April (CA/24/00599) to crown reduce Horse Chestnut tree by 25% in both height and lateral spread, rebalance the crown and deadwood.
