Description

The proposed works comprise the repair, maintenance, and minor alterations to the listed building. This includes, refurbishment of the natural slate tiles to the main roof and dormers, including like-for-like replacement of damaged or missing slates, renewal of lead flashings, replacement of deteriorated timber roof elements, renewal of existing felt membrane, and the upgrading of aged rainwater goods to cast iron, rationalizing and collating pipework to the flank elevation. Rooflight replacement with heritage double glazing. Repair of the external render including where necessary reinstatement of breathable lime render, with all elevations redecorated using appropriate finishes. Internal redecoration. Installation of underfloor heating. The laying of engineered timber flooring and the introduction of insulation between joists. Upgrade of modern bathrooms on first floor. Relocation of bathroom on second floor.
