5-DAY NOTICE T1 Horse Chestnut - Inspect the principal union where three large stems originate from the same bifurcation point. There is evidence of decay within this union, and the recent failure of one substantial stem has left the two remaining stems in a potentially compromised condition. With the aim of improving the tree's safety and stability, remove the large stem forming the left-hand bifurcation at the principal union and reduce the remaining canopy by approximately 2/3 metres to suitable growth points to reduce wind sail effect and lessen the load on the remaining canopy. Clear site and remove all arisings and waste from site.
