Application Details
Description
x2 Mature Ash TreesThese trees are situated over a busy road and a busy car park. They have historically dropped several large limbs.Following an aerial inspection by one of my teams, it is evident that the trees are not safe. There are very large pockets of rot throughout both crowns. Both trees exhibit Innonotus hispidus fruiting bodies. There are multiple woodpecker holes in the main stem of both trees. There are large fungal brackets, large portions of dead crown and bark that is falling away. These are all clear indicators of internal decay and an obvious lack of structural integrity. We request permission for the immediate Monolithing of both T1 and T2 to 5m, to be retained as habitat. This will reduce both liability concern for the Granary and reduce risk to the public. To be replaced with native broad-leafed species elsewhere on the property.
