Description

T1 Acer Negundo. This has been investigated because of building work due to take place at 107 Richmond Road. The advice received from the engineers involved in the project is that, particularly due to the heavy clay subsoil, the roots of this tree are likely to have a detrimental future effect on both foundations both of 105 and of 107 Richmond Road should it be allowed to grow. The owner of 105 Richmond Road, Professor Annabel Brett (asb21@cam.ac.uk) has therefore agreed that it is in her interests as well as the interests of the owners of 107 Richmond Road to remove the Acer Negundo before it grows larger. The intention is to replace the tree with one which has less water demand and hence less impact on the foundations.
