Application Details
Description
5 Day Notice 2 ash trees (T1 and T2) which are growing on the banks of Beck Brook had ash dieback and have died and are in a very dangerous condition liable to fall at any point. If they fall they will go into the brook which runs through Oakington and Histon. The brook is already running at capacity and the high possibility of the trees falling would cause the brook to flood along its course endangering property in the villages. There are numerous dead branches and these are already falling into the water. The trees need removing immediately to prevent damage to land and property. They are both dead and dangerous. The landowner is happy to replace the trees by replanting similar trees slightly further away from the water.
