Description

Removal of timber staircases from ground floor down to basements to E, F, G and H staircases, to number and put to one side for reuse, the oak tread and risers, replacing any that is rotten beyond repair.Leave in place the newel posts to the half landing and top landing including the hand rail and balusters.Replace all of the rotten timber beams and floor joist to the half landing with sizes to match existing from Douglas fir.Replace the undercarriage beams to the top flight of stairs with beam's to match existing in Douglas fir.To form a concrete pad in the floor and extend existing newel post down to solid foundation splicing onto existing newel post. To replace turned missing balusters with new to match existing. To replace half landing floor boards where rotten or decay beyond serviceable use. To plaster under side of carriage ways with lath and lime plaster
