Description

Purple Beech - crown reduction as outlined in report with height reduction up to 2m to maintain formEnd weight reduction - specified extent selective removal of larger diameter sections of lateral branches to south over footpath, north and east over garden,west over river bank, up to 4 m length and a maximum of 15cm diameter south,west and east, 20cm diameter north, final cuts to be at suitable growth points, retaining furnishing growth to minimise visual impact. Works proposed to relieve mechanical loading and manage risk of harm or damage through branch failure onto footpath and garden below. Also intended to encourage epicormic growth in the crown, with the long term production of a smaller crown to aid tree longevity.
