Description

Three trees located near an Environment Agency maintained debris screen require felling due to ongoing damage to the channel wing wall and the progressive collapse of the standing platform used by operatives to safely clear debris from the channel. A full screen replacement is currently in design and will replace the existing structure. However, the root systems of the adjacent trees are continuing to damage the asset, increasing the risk of further structural failure. To prevent additional deterioration and to reduce the associated flood risk to the local area the felling of these trees is required.
