Application Details
Description

T9 Oak - Fell and treat stump with eco-plugsThe above tree works are proposed as a remedy to the ongoing and persistent differential foundation movement at the insured property and to ensure the long-term stability of the building. You will note that since the last application was refused (now subject to appeal and claim in compensation - see attached claim letter and Appeal reference letter) damage has now recommenced with active and obvious downward rotational movement (see point 3 on the attached monitoring). We have included an updated engineer???s appraisal report and additional documentation. We are willing to meet with Council officers to agree a scheme of replacement planting and although the tree is Council controlled as the tree is TPOd would be willing to discuss contributing to both felling and replacement planting costs. Please let us know if you would like to meet on site to discuss or to see the damage first hand.We are satisfied that the evidence obtained following completion of our Arboricultural Implication Assessment report completed 22/11/2022, clearly links the Oak T9 as a cause of damage to the risk address. We confirm that T1 Cypress was removed in April 2023 and T8 Sycamore removed in May 2023. Therefore, given the latest movements there can be absolutely no doubt that this is a subsidence event relating to the tree under your control.Insurers understanding the requirement to offer replacement planting in the event consent to fell is granted.
