1. Ash Fraxinus excelsior. Suffering die back. Probable Ash Die Back Disease. Also suffering competition from nearby trees. Fell.2. Red Oak Quercus rubra. Etiolated and leaning due to competition with nearby trees over junction of cul-de-sac and Fiery Hill Road. Fell.3. Pedunculate Oak Quercus robur. Almost dead, shedding branches and main stem rotting. Fell.4. Rowan Sorbus aucuparia. Trunk severely barked, probably by deer. In poor health and etiolated due to competition. Fell.5, 6, 7. Hazel Corylus avellana. To be coppiced to regenerate.Replanting: 1, 2, 3 and 4 all require felling due, at least in part, to competition for light and water in this densly planted area with many large, mature trees. Replacement is not planned, though, depending on observed light availability once work is completed, 4 may be replaced by Hazel.
